Books from the FIRST Percy Jackson series. Written by Rick Riordan

Percy Jackson; Book 5. The Last Olympian

Standard

Percy Jackson wasn’t surprised when a flying horse landed on his car roof and when Beckendorf was rideing it he knew that the war had begun. Camp Half-Blood has been waiting months for the Princess Andromeda (an enemy cruise ship; you’ll understand if you read the book or series. ;)) and the titan Lord Kronos to make a move and now the prophecy is all coming into place.
The children of the gods are gathering as many troops as possible and so are the titans. This might be Percy Jackson last battle. Will all his friends make it or will they die a horrible death? Will everything turn out just fine or will everything come crashing down because of one false move? Find out by reading!!!

My Opinion:
I absolutely love this book. Mostly because all the battle scenes, but also because Thalia is back. I love her. Anyway, this book is fun to read, because of all the action, jokes and near death experiences; trust me you will be satisfied you stuck with Percy this long.

Percy Jackson; Book 4. The Battle of the Labyrinth

Standard

When Percy goes to Oriantation day at his new school and meets his ‘friend’ Rachel Dare his day has already been not so great.  But when Empousai (Vampires) attack Percy and Rachel, his day turns out even worse.
All Percy wanted that morning, was to finish oriantation fast so he could meet up with Annabeth at the movies and then leave for camp.
But no, monsters have to attack.
When Percy and Annabeth finally get to camp, they discover that Luke is still searching for an entrance into camp with the magical labyrinth,  brought to life by the great inventor Daedalus.
To stop Luke, the gang has to enter the Labyrinth as well and seek out Daedalus and try to convince him, into helping the godly side and not Gaia in the up coming war.
If they go insane in the Labyrinth or make it to the inventor and convince him or if Luke wins you will learn by reading this book.

My Opinion:
This book is as great and adventures as all the Percy Jackson before.
And is great to take on a long car, plane or train ride.

Percy Jackson; Book 3. The Titan’s Curse

Standard

When Percy gets a distress call from Grover about two powerfull half-bloods that need saving, he rushes off to Grover’s aid with Talia and Annabeth watching his back.
They manage to save the half-bloods but the monsters are able to kidnap Annabeth and take her as a hostage.
The team meets the Hunters of Artimiss and the Hunters escort them to camp. As soon as they get back Percy tries to convince Chiron, that they need to send a search party after Annabeth. Instead they anounce a quest to save the Goddess Arimiss who as gone missing.
Since the Hunters of Artemiss don’t like traveling or being around men, Percy isn’t aloud to join the quest, but he sneeks along anyway.
If they manage to save Annabeth or the Goddes Artimiss or if they fail and all die, you willl find out in reading this book.

My Opinion: I really like this book in the series, because Talia is in it. She’s one of my favorite characters. It’s also interesting to see how strong imortal hunters can be, if they are women.

It has been one year since Percy Jackson has been to Camp Half-Blood. One year, since he’s seen his best friends Grover and Annabeth. Its the last day of school and the last day before Percy goes back to Camp Half-Blood.
Everything seems as normal as it can get for a Half-Blood, but when monsters attack Percy and his new friend Tyson at school, Percy’s feeling that something is wrong grows.
Ever since Percy has been back in the mortal world, he has had dreams about Grover and the Camp being in trouble. Percy and Tyson manage to escape the monsters by reciving someones help who they haven’t seen in a while and shouldn’t be there. They make it to camp and find out that the world of Camp Half-Blood has been turned once again up side down. To return the Camp to its former glory, the new activities director assigns a quest to find the golden fleece which is located in the Sea of Monsters. Is this a step too far for Percy Jackson? Or does he make? This you will have to see, by reading this book.

My Opinion: What I enjoy most about his book is that it moves at a great pace. Not too fast that you loose track and not too slow as that you might loose intrest.
In this book Percy discovers abit more about the world of the gods and how wierd and bloody families can be. Its discribde in a way, that you can easily relate the problems to your own family.

Percy Jackson; Book 1. The Lighting Thief

Standard

Percy Jackson is a normal twelve year old kid, who has ADHD, dyslexia and has been kicked off plenty of schools before. Nothing in his life makes sense till he gets to Canp Half-Blood, where he meets Annabeth and figures out the true identity of his best friend Grover.
The end of the world is at hand and if Percy, Annabeth and Grover don’t go to save the world it might end. They go on a pretty weird quest to save the world and if they make it before the deadline and if they lose someone or if the world ends, you will have to find out by reading this book.

My Opinion:
Even though the beginnings of series are often reallly slow, The Lighting Thief is a start that makes you want to read the rest of the Percy Jackson-series.  It has amazing battle scenes and a twisting plot line and that not only in the first book, but in the whole series.
